SENAIDA

Toronto-born SENAIDA (pronounced “Shuh-nay-duh”) is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist, sound architect, DJ, curator, creative entrepreneur, cyberfeminist and futurist. Their work explores the intersections of art, emerging technologies, and sustainability to create collective liminal experiences. As the founder and resident DJ of WE ARE THE FUTURE!, an underground interdisciplinary collective, label and curated art party in NYC, SENAIDA brings innovation to the forefront. They have released guest mixes for Newtown Radio, No Signal, Snatchers and HKCR. SENAIDA co-hosts "Classy & Sassy" on WNYU 89.1 FM, and also hosts a bi-monthly residency at XPIZZA (NYC).

After returning from a study abroad semester in Berlin in 2022, SENAIDA transitioned into being a DJ and in only a few short months began playing at NYFW, the Shorty Awards, and PopCon 2023 as well as sold-out shows at Virgo (NYC), 99 Scott (Brooklyn), The Sultan Room (Brooklyn), Bossa Nova Civic Club (Brooklyn), OXI (Berlin), Loveless Cafe (Toronto) and Eclipse Club Chia (Colombia). Their sound is characterized by asymmetrical song structures and futuristic sonic textures, taking inspiration from a range of genres that span industrial techno to early ambient works. SENAIDA’s latest single release, “IAMABADBITCH” featuring GrimesAI is out now on all streaming platforms.
