When he first began to listen and dance to techno, APS was captured by both the carnal and intellectually abstract nature of the music. In his sets and mixes he looks for encounters of these seeming opposites and draws them to the foreground. As a producer he’s released on his own label Cathexis Records and has thrown the occasional party known as Yearn in Philly, Brooklyn, and select house parties in the UK.
